Scott Calhoun is the owner and principal designer at Zona Gardens. He has gardened in the American Southwest for over 20 years and is the author and photographer of six books about the region. Scott’s work has been featured in The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal. He writes a monthly column for Sunset magazine and freelances for numerous publications. He designs, writes, and lectures across the United States.
Deirdre Calhoun brings her management skills to Zona Gardens keeping the back office running, doing photoshop work, and making sure we have money in the bank.
Amy Belk is a design assistant, researcher, writer and go-to woman for information about plant pests, diseases and maladies. She splits her time between Zona Gardens and Civano Nursery. Amy is also the author of a column in Tucson Happenings Magazine called “Planting the Old Pueblo.”
